Canning

Sunday night I had my first experience with canning. I had copious amounts of banana peppers so I decided to can them and see how they turned out. I gave it a shot and two of my three cans sealed successfully; the third is in the fridge waiting to cure for a bit before we try those. I mistakenly didn't pack down the peppers so there seems to be a lot more liquid than peppers in each jar... I'm hoping that is okay - the instructions didn't say to pack the peppers in and the jar was full before I added the liquid. Oh well! For a first try I'm happy about it; especially happy at how easy it was. I just hope they taste okay when we open them up!

The Belly: Week 33

Chippy's Camp Geiger Graduation

Last week Chippy graduated from Camp Geiger. Mom and Dad drove down to see him for graduation and Chelsea surprised them all by showing up on Monday for Family Day! Mom got some good pictures for everyone to see. :)

Crib/Nursery

Here are more pictures of the crib and nursery. All we have left to do in the nursery is paint the trim, clean up and put baby stuff in there!

When I got home last night Jeff showed me his work for the day (he got a LOT accomplished!). Then he asked if I had meant to make all the stripes the same size. I told him that when I taped I just tried to put the tape on straight and that I wasn't worried about the size of the stripe that would be there once we painted. I do have to say for not paying much attention the stripes are fairly uniform in size. :)

The Belly: Week 32

Can you tell this is the first thing in the morning and I'm still half asleep!  (As was my photographer... Jeff kept trying to take the pictures with his eyes closed!)
