Fall Hike
On Friday we took a hike at Brandywine Falls. It was beautiful! Ayla slept through all of it... she tends to sleep through all the fun stuff. :)
Ayla - 8 Weeks
On Sunday Ayla celebrated eight weeks of life! Things have been going pretty well. When she sleeps at night we are getting longer stretches; those nights are wonderful! The other nights - the ones when she doesn't sleep... those aren't the most fun, but all in all things are great. We are having tons of fun with Ayla and are enjoying seeing her grow everyday.

Ayla - 7 Weeks
Ayla is seven weeks old now. She celebrated by letting us sleep for six hours on Sunday night! Monday night was back to normal and we slept in three hour increments - which wasn't bad, but not as good as six hours.

Ayla - 6 weeks
Ayla is six weeks old today! She has some issues, but overall is doing fairly well. On Thursday we took her back to the doctor to get a check up on her acid reflux. The doctor said to give the medicine more time (as it didn't seem to be helping yet) and then told us that Ayla has colic and that she might be allergic to milk. We picked up some gripe water for the colic and while I'm not going to eliminate dairy I've been cutting back dramatically. Ayla weighed in at 9lbs 1oz at the doctors on Thursday... in 8 days she gained 11 ounces!! She certainly isn't having any eating problems!! The last couple of nights Ayla has been sleeping fairly well, giving us about 3 hours of sleep between feedings - which feels like for ever to us!
For Ayla's six week birthday celebration she and I are going shopping while Jeff is at work! :)
Here is a six week picture.

Auntie Chelsea and Washington DC
Last week Ayla, my mom and I went to DC to visit Auntie Chelsea. Chelsea hadn't been able to make it home since Ayla was born so she was so excited to see us and meet her niece! Ayla did great on both the car ride there and back. She also did a great job being a tourist. We got to see all sorts of fun stuff and she started to learn all about her country.
Lunch time in the city.
The National Cathedral
The American History Museum
Ayla rocking her Union hat.
Chelsea made this great work of art... we got to help her hang it while we were visiting.
